About Ethan

Ethan Lee is a rising senior at Newton North High School and the student founder, interviewer, writer, narrator, and producer of Veterans' Voices of Newton. He conducts long-form interviews with veterans and develops each conversation into a narrative audio episode supported by research, archival context, music, and sound. His goal is to provide enough structure to help listeners follow the story while keeping the veteran’s own voice at the center.

Ethan’s interests include oral history, archival preservation, audio production, engineering, and music—particularly artists such as the Beatles and the Beach Boys. He is also an enthusiastic viewer of unapologetically cheesy 1980s movies. Through Veterans’ Voices, he combines historical research, interviewing, writing, and audio production to preserve stories that might otherwise remain unheard.
